Here it is! the first single off the upcoming album Tender is the Night. This was one of the very first songs I wrote for the new album, and I feel like it's a great way to introduce it to you all (it's also one of my favourites). Morning Rain is pretty representative of the themes of Tender is the Night; searching for meaning in everyday existence, experiencing beauty in nature and the world around me, and allowing myself vulnerability through poetry.

The original poem that I used for the lyrics came about almost a year ago, at a time in my life when I was feeling very isolated. Funny to think that now, in the time on COVID-19, self-isolation has become something of a necessary evil. And, looking for silver linings in our current predicament, this song and the album it comes from wouldn't exist in the way they do without the pandemic; I recorded the whole thing in my bedroom after a few too many weeks of cabin fever.

I can't wait to share everything I've been working on, so stay tuned and most importantly look after yourselves!
